THE IMBALI WAY OF RAISING AND TRAINING YOUR RIDGEBACK PUPPY
Dealing with Rhodesian Ridgebacks as I do I never cease to be amazed at how many problems there are with dogs that are a direct result of the mistakes and inexperience of their owners. Consequently, I have written a 70 page A4 book entitled "The Imbali Way of Raising and Training Your Ridgeback Puppy" which details how I raise our own Ridgebacks. I cover areas that are specific to a Ridgeback's characteristics but many of the hints and commands I use are applicable to the majority of breeds of dogs. My aim is to help new dog owners raise a happy, well-trained and sociable pet who will be a credit to them and their breed. We have the Dangerous Dogs Act looking over our shoulders, we cannot afford any bad dog publicity, start off correctly and you won't have problems, start off incorrectly and you will produce a problem dog - do not think that passing it on to a Rescue Society is the way out.
If you are seriously considering adding a Ridgeback to your home then I recommend that you get a copy BEFORE you get a puppy as preparation and knowledge is a key issue to a successfully reared dog.
